I’m an Apple Teacher. Apple recognizes me for demonstrating my skills using Apple products to enhance productivity and inspire creativity in my classroom. |
I am the music specialist for the Conant School. I teach general music classes for grades K-6. I love teaching music from around the world, particularly music from West Africa! In summer 2011, I completed a field study in Ghana to learn more about the musical traditions of West Africa and the Ewe people.
I hold Masters degrees in both Educational Leadership (Endicott College) and Music Education (Gordon College). I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Providence College, majoring in music education with concentration in flute performance. I am licensed in Massachusetts as both a PK-12 music teacher and a K-8 principal/assistant principal. I live in Wilmington with my husband, Tim, and our daughter, Felicity. When I'm not at school, I enjoy reading, cross-stitching, baking, and taking day-trips throughout the New England area! To learn more about my philosophy of music education, click here. |
